James studied wildlife biology at the University of Vermont before working for ten years as a Research Biologist, predominantly with endangered birds.In 2004 he moved to Kenya (his mum's home) and began a safari company, with Kerry Glen (later they were married), that specializes in walking, ornithology, adventure and 'off the beaten path'. Jamie grew up an only child in a patch of beautiful woods in Massachusetts. He developed a love for animal life and nature at an early age. His interests not only led to a degree in Biology but also an early job in Alaska at a Fly Fishing camp.
