  • Cultural Immersion
  • 4 days; 3 nights
  • 2 to 6 travelers
  • Begins & ends in Kuraburi
Koh Surin National Park is a paradise of fine white sandy beaches, thick jungle, crystal-clear waters, and some of the best coral reef in Thailand. It is also home of the Moken, a traditionally nomadic sea people who have lived in harmony with nature along Thailand’s Andaman coast for thousands of years. More recently, the Moken have faced challenges of modernization, and are now open to sharing their way of life with respectful visitors in order to protect their culture. Bask in the natural beauty of the Koh Surin Islands while you immerse in Moken Life. Snorkel in the crystal waters of the Andaman Sea, participate in a handicraft workshop, learn the traditional art of Moken weaving, and open yourself to their perspectives and way of life. Hike through the jungle on a botanical adventure, learning about their useful plants, including medicinal herbs, edible species, and those used in construction of traditional houseboats. Take a Moken sailing boat to the village and then try your hand at rowing a Moken "row-boat" and re-enacting their method of spear fishing. Listen to traditional Moken songs that tell stories and the history of their people. Accommodation 1 night in Local resort and 2 night in tent - campsite from the National Parkread more
