The tall rocky outcrop will be visible for miles before you arrive. Its called Nyasura and it is certainly sacred ground, used for millennia by those seeking shelter from the elements and predators of the bush. Ancient graves, flints, and pounding stones called boluses are all in evidence around the rocks and in the ancient caves. We will be camped beside Nyasura. In the evening -- after a jaunt about -- we will scale its slopes for a view and a sundowner. The remainder of the safari traverses a rich Acacia bush country that thrives with plains game as well as the predators that like to eat them. It is not uncommon to run into a Lion, Leopard, Hyena or Wild dog along the course of this safari.
My wife and I have been on safari together since we were kids and traveled all over East Africa with our parents who were friends. We have refined how we like to enjoy safari and our approach to wildlife and conservation and this trip as well as our longer stays are precisely what we like most about safari. This trip is a total immersion in Africa.
