My name is Edwin Espinoza Sotelo, along with my parents (Marino Espinoza, Mercedes Sotelo) and my sister, Flor de María Espinoza Sotelo,we belong to the community of Mollepata, Soraypampa, where we begin to hike the Salkantay trek. In total, we are a community of 12 local families, from the start of the Salkantay route of the Peruvian Andes to the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. You will have the added bonus of understanding the culture and traditions of each family en route.
Brophy is driven by a love of active adventure and immersive cultural travel. He has skied through the remote fjords of Svalbard and been trained as a yoga teacher in Bali.He lived in the backcountry of Patagonia for 80 straight days, climbing un-named and sea kayaking through uninhabited island chains. He has trekked through sacred mountains in the Himalayas, skied virgin lines in Alaska, fished remote rivers in New Zealand, and explored the Colombian Amazon. With Untrodden, he dreams of facilitating similar journeys for others.
Andaman Discoveries provided Regenerative Journeys, Feel good, Feel Connected, get healed, give something back and experience nature authentic Thai,volunteering, study trips and also regional tours in Thailand, which have created numerous employment opportunities through village homestay, handicraft production and guiding. Mandatory contribution to the community fund from guests provides financial support to run village-wide projects. Our programs accrue value to the whole village by giving 50% of profit to the NAN Foundation to supporting our local communities and on going projects.
An avid traveller for work and pleasure I have been fortunate enough to see some of the most magical places the world has to offer, from The Great Wall of China,to Chichinitza in Mexico, and the summit of Kilimanjaro to some of Europes finest capitals. But there is no place like home.
